So the KoD and I went to the movies last night. We saw “Law Abiding Citizen” which was awesome, yet very scary. My 14 year old son has asked to see it. I doubt I will EVER let him see it. Too gruesome.
So of course this leads to a discussion on favourite movies etc. KoD is very much a typical male in that he only likes to watch a movie once, and that’s it. Us women, well, we can watch a favourite film over and over and over again, and still not be done with it. I cannot tell you how many times I have watched Love Story and I still cry, even tho, KoD, I know what’s going to happen. Maybe it’s a man / woman thing?
So I say to the KoD, but what about our wedding video, you still haven’t seen it. His response, bless him? “But I was there, what do I need to see the video for?!” Le sigh….

Knafayim Shvurot aka Broken Wings. It is, as the title suggetss, an Israeli movie. I usually like Israeli movies a lot.
Why not go over to my blog and answer my question for the day?

I usually can’t watch a movie more than 2 or 3 times at the most (although sometimes I will watch the same movie a few times in a row because on hbo/showtime they replay the same movies over and over again).
My favorite movies are ones that are weird and mess with your head a bit, anything made by pixar, and more generally movies made for kids that have adult humor too. Also really like some pretentious indie movies and biopics and fictional biopics (like benjamin button/forest gump). My favorite movies from this year was Up I think. Really liked Coraline too. Hmm what else did I see this year that was good…Doubt was great, so was Revolutionary Road, really liked Milk. And I loved that mini series on John Adams.
And I still haven’t seen our wedding video, but B has. I just don’t like watching myself on video, it makes me very self conscious..but we might watch it on our 1 year anniversary (or maybe our 6 month anniversary, which is in like a week!).

I can’t pick a favorite. But I have favorites. Any Disney movie from the early 1990s, Est/Ouest (just spectacular), Everything is Illuminated, and of course, the Princess Bride.
