Bumming around the house

You are home all day. You don’t plan on going anywhere. You have laundry to do and floors to mop and supper to cook. No one is expected to visit. Do you stay in your pajamas all day? Do you get showered but dress in sweats? Do you shower and dress, put make up on? Do you have a spouse and does that make a difference in your answer?

  1. I would stay in pajamas for as long as possible, do the messy things, shower, change into casual clothes, and put makeup on before my husband comes home.

I am a big fan of pajamas! If life wasn’t demanding of it, I would never get dressed.

  2. i am happy to stay in my PJs if i’m just hanging out at home & doing housework such as laundry, preparing supper etc. somehow, i find that i only feel the need to get dressed if i have to leave the house (even if it’s to go the bus stop down the block). i have a spouse but he would likely be out of the house so it doesn’t really make a difference in my answer to this question. if he’d be home, perhaps i would put on some make-up but i don’t usually get dressed to cook, clean, & do laundry. then again, since you live in an apartment building, you may have to go to the basement to do the laundry & b/c of that, you may need to get dressed rather than do laundry in your pjs.

anyhow, enjoy your day bumming around doing household stuff today :)!

  3. Kind of depends. Sunday i was in PJ’s all day. today i got dressed up in yoga pants.

  4. i have a spouse and would gladly stay in my PJs all day if I could (and used to do that all the time), only nowadays I have to take the dog out and don’t feel right walking around my neighborhood in my PJs, especially cause a lot of my former students and several profs live in my neighborhood.

  5. PJ’s all day. The spouse is not taken into account in this case ;o)

  6. I did this once in the past 5 or 10 years: it was a couple of weeks ago when my sons were off from school and I was working from home. I think my husband was home too, but I’m not sure. It felt amazing, but it’s sure not my regular lifestyle.

  7. pjs all day but usually I grab a shower and hop right back into my pjs. And by pjs I mean modest robe and snood because hey, people come to our door all the time and I usually keep the window shade open.

The shower makes a difference- after that even back in “pjs” I feel human again—- I’m big into washing my face at least…. having said that, I’m giving away a free microdermabrasion set on my blog if anyone is interested– hop on over- drawing is on Jan 31st. 🙂

  8. I’m a get dressed type. No make up, but then again, make up isn’t my thing. I hate the idea that someone sees me not fully dressed, even if I’m totally covered. Though this morning I wasn’t dressed when I had to get the door.

  9. Personally, showering is key! Don’t we all feel better after a good rinsing? But after that, I mean it’s up the person really. I prefer to wear my lulu pants around the house, as they are more comfortable than the constrictions of jeans. Going out? Jeans and regular clothes for sure… I just think it helps with the morale of it all…

    • I agree, showering IS key. Maybe one day the kids will get that, they think i am obsessed with cleanliness. if they don’t have school they think they don’t need to shower. Ha!
